ECB National Club Championship 2025 – Round 1 Review & Round 2 Fixtures CONFIRMED

After some cracking games around the country on Sunday, we’re down to the last 64 on Sunday 25th May for Round 2 on the “Road to Lords” for the final on Saturday 20th September including by our reckoning 13 previous winners amidst exciting National Club Results Fixtures!

Highlights from Sunday include the holders Brentwood breezing into the next round by 8 wickets with skippier Aaron West in a hurry with 74* off 55 balls, whilst 14 year Bobby Harris took 4-17 in his 5.4 overs on debut.
Last seasons runners-up Northern chased down Longridges 242, they where 200-0 at one point, with a first ton for Tyler McGladdery since September 2023 scoring 121 off 102 balls.

York chased down Pudsey St. Lawrence’s 240 with just 10 balls to spare
Tickhill chased down Moorlands 241 with 1 wicket and 2 balls to spare in a thrilling finish
Cavaliers & Carrington scored 310/6 off their 40 oversin beating Alvaston & Boulton who could only get within 44 runs
Ockbrook & Borrowash out did C&C scoring 314/6 in beating Welbeck by 99 runs
Roe Green impressively chased down 264/9 from United Stars with almost 8 overs to spare
Under strength Blackpool side beating the well packed Leigh side on their own ground including 83 off 61 balls for Josh Boyne who couldn’t score away from home last season but hasn’t stopped this year!
Westhoughton chased down Bowdon 201 with 1 wicket and 102 balls to spare
Tickhill chased down Moorlands 241 with 1 wicket and 2 balls to spare in a thrilling finish
Didsbury pummeled for 341/5 inc. 122 for Nick Anderson off just 55 balls (8×4’s, 11×6’s) in their 174 win over Halesowen
Smethwick though hit 417/6 off their 40 overs with 3 centurions, Isaac Mohammed (125 off 77balls), Viken Kedariya (110 off 81 balls) and Deepak Khatri (101 off 39 balls); and yes they beat Longton by 196 runs!
Bristol overcame St. Cross Symondians by 1 wicket with 2 balls to spare chasing down 258
Usk beat Bath at Bath, possibly the surprise of the round by 15 runs
Richmond won despite Normandy scoring 38 runs in their last 2 overs to lose by just 1 run in a thriller
Sunbury and Walton Thames scored 686 runs between them with Sunbury running out as winners following a 221 opening partnership from Rajan Soni (160 off 87 balls) and 20 yr old Sydney Thunder batter Hugh Weigben scoring 155 off 109 balls
Banbury beat Slough by 8 runs in a close finish having scored just 155, Slough were 143/6 with 10 overs to go but slumped to 147 all out losing 4 wickets for just 4 runs
2017 winners Wanstead & Snaresbrook enjoyed a 9 wicket victory over Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers with Haaris Usman hitting 109 off 97 balls
North London just ran out winners by 4 runs, beating Crouch End as they failed to chase down 237 losing 2 wickets in the final over
