Bangor Cricket Club were crowned North Wales Premier League champions for a fifth time after a convincing eight-wicket victory at St Asaph on Saturday.
The Citizens moved up to second in the all-time list of Premier title wins, following on from their successes in 2001, 2002, 2017 and 2019.
Before start of play on a Saturday afternoon where the wet weather caused two Premier games to be abandoned, it was likely Bangor needed a victory at Elwy Grove Park to ensure a top-place finish with Brymbo lying second 10 points behind.
That outcome became essential as it emerged only other title threat the Steelmen had beaten Conwy to temporarily hit the summit.

Kasner picked up 4-15 off 5.2 and Rehman 3-9 after the seamers had earlier done a solid job.
Bangor approached their task positively and got home on 128-2 off 22.2, Scott’s 61 not out coming off 59 balls and including 11 fours and a six.
Scott shared an unbroken third-wicket stand of 64 with skipper Robbie Marshall, Rehman having earlier struck eight fours in his 37.
