Premier League Champions Trophy 2025 – Group A

35 champions, 7 groups, one trophy: voting opens Thursday 1 October and the winner is crowned Saturday 31 October.

Ideally, you’ll picture a series of 40-over matches between the sides and back the club you think would come out on top.

Realistically? We’re not daft. You’ll vote for your own club, your mate’s club, the club with the best teas or the club that beat you in a cup semi in 2009 and still hasn’t apologised. All of the above is allowed.
Every vote counts the same, whatever your reasoning.

Its just a bit of end of season fun, and hopefully keeps the spirit of our Premier League Champions Trophy alive.

Somebody has to go first, and these five have drawn the new ball. Three days of voting, one place in the Super Seven, and no time to play yourself in.

Knowle & Dorridge (Birmingham & District PL): The Birmingham League champions have been around since 1896 and carry the biggest following in the group at 3,593, and only won their first title this year since 2017.
Favourites on paper. But paper has never taken a wicket.

Horsford (East Anglian PL): They share Manor Park with Norfolk, so they’re used to a big stage. East Anglia will need to turn out in numbers to bridge a gap of nearly 1,900 followers.

Kimberley Institute (Nottinghamshire PL): The Notts champions arrive quietly with 1,429 followers and a reputation for doing the job without fuss. Will be glad voting ends on Saturday as Sundays haven’t been fruitful this year (sorry lads!)
Dangerous opponents in a low-scoring vote.

Hoylandswaine (Huddersfield PL): Village club, Huddersfield League champions 7 years in the last 10, unbeaten in the league this season, and a support base that may make plenty of noise for its size.
Never underestimate a Pennine WhatsApp group.

Formby (Liverpool & District): The seasiders bring the smallest following in the group at 974. May have some big followings amongst they’re playing group so beware the underdog . . .
Last time we checked, though, underdogs are allowed to vote too.

Our call: Knowle & Dorridge start as favourites. If Kimberley Institute get organised though, it’s anyone’s game.

Votes open just after midnight on Thursday 1st October and close at midnight on Saturday 3rd October and the result will be announced on Monday 5th October!
